It’s that time of year again! Yep, it’s Summer Camp time.

The kids have already started to ask us a ton of questions - Where will they be going? How many days will they get to swim? Will they go to an overnight camp? Will they get to go to a water park?

The staff is currently planning out the details of each day and it is going to be an unforgettable summer even with some COVID restrictions still in place. Our children will experience a variety of fun and amazing things they wouldn’t have sitting at home. CGM’s 2021 Summer Camp will focus on cultural awareness, visiting civil rights museums here in Montgomery and Birmingham, science experiments, and arts and crafts. But there will also be plenty of days of fun in the sun - swimming and splashing and other outdoor activities!

This year we will have 60 children for eight hours a day from June 7th to July 30th. Over those eight weeks, we have budgeted expenses to be $500 for each child. Eight weeks at $500 - that’s $62.50 a week for our youth to be in a safe, loving environment and off of the streets or home alone. And like all the years prior, we will provide this camp at no cost to the parents.

Would you please consider sponsoring a child for $500? If you can’t do that, any amount is deeply appreciated and gets us one step closer to providing each of our children with a summer they won’t forget.

Thank you for your consideration in helping us put on an unforgettable summer for our youth!

PS. If you do decide to donate online, don't forget to select "SUMMER CAMP" in the drop-down menu so we'll know where you want your donation to go!
